Hi everyone!

I’m Keisha Johnson, and I’m excited to be part of this community! I work as a VP of Engineering at High-Growth EdTech Startup (formerly Google, Slack), based in Atlanta, Georgia. With 16 years in the field, Computer Science graduate from Spelman College. Started at Google as software engineer, promoted to engineering manager, then senior engineering manager. Moved to Slack as Director of Engineering. Recently promoted to VP Engineering at current EdTech startup. Known for building high-performing, inclusive engineering teams.

What brings me here

Found the community through career progression discussions. Values the honest conversations about promotion challenges and the diverse professional perspectives. Wants to share her journey from IC to VP and learn from other executives about scaling engineering in high-growth environments. Passionate about mentoring the next generation of Black tech leaders.
